Kolida Babo is the collaboration between two Greek woodwind musicians fromseparate regions - Socratis Votskos is from Pella, and Harris P is from Athens. Their self-titled debut album, was recorded in improvised live-take sessions beginning on the night of the “Kolida Babo” folk rituals of music and dance in northern Greece in winter 2013. The sessions proceeded over three years, exploring the ancient music of Armenia and the folk traditions of northern Greece’s Epirus and Thrace regions alongside abstract electronics and free jazz.
 Their aim is to express themselves to fully through music and art. Creativity and collective expression is a vehicle to a better understanding of life itself and music is a universal language that it must be accessible to everyone.

They recorded their first tune, the day of the Kolida Babo folk rituals (23nth December) in Aridaia –Pella, and then similar recording sessions (Athens and Thessaloniki) followed up. The first presentation of their music took place in Athens (February 2017). As Kolida Babo was chosen to participate at the 18nth Biennale of young Artists –Europe and Medditeranean in the field of music, where was the opening act at the Biennale in Tirana, Albania. More shows occurred across Greece (Sparta, Epirus, Patras).

In January 2018 Kolida babo performed at Six d.o.g.s in Athens, and also recorded for Greek National Radio program. In 2019 performed for the Greek National radio program in Thessalloniki. They released their first LP with MIC Records (London), while preparing their second Greek National Radio recording/performance and the LP's presentation in Athens (Underflow record store, Institute Goethe on the CTM festival Event 'Chronotopia'), Thessaloniki (Duende jazz bar) and Madrid (Archipelago Festival), performing in Museo Reina Sofia, where Guernica painting of Pablo Picasso is (2019). In November of 2018 they composed the original score of ''Gospel of Michiel'' documentary which presented in 21st Thessaloniki Documentary Festival (March 2019). Their music is broadcasted via many Radio shows such as ERT(2018, 2019), BBC (radio 3,4,6 Lancanshire) and received many positive reviews from "The Wire", "The Guardian", "thevinylfactory.com". They also performed in Reworks festival, the largest electronic music festival in Greece (2019). Through 2021 they performed live in Cosmopolis festival (GR).
